Work with us

Spare Controller publishes buying guides for gamers and the people who shop for them — parents, partners, grandparents and gift buyers who arrive with a purchase in mind and want to get it right. Our guides cover consoles, games, accessories, trading cards and collectibles, with a strong focus on compatibility and value.

What we offer partners

• Purchase-intent content. Our readers arrive at the point of decision: comparing models, checking compatibility, choosing a gift.
• Evergreen and seasonal guides. Long-lasting explainers (storage, controllers, ratings, trading-card products) alongside seasonal gift guides that are updated every year.
• Family-safe, brand-safe content. No piracy, no unofficial downloads, no gambling, no adult content. Age ratings and parental guidance are always included where relevant.
• Clear disclosure. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every relevant page, in line with FTC guidance.

How we work

• Affiliate partnerships are welcome where the products are genuinely relevant to our readers.
• Product information: we're happy to receive official specifications, compatibility details and release information. Sending us information or products doesn't guarantee coverage, and we never accept payment for positive coverage.
• Sponsored content: we don't currently publish it. If we do in the future, it will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial guides — see our editorial policy.
